“My work is the care and maintenance of the web of our noticing – the paying heed of things overlooked”
I take objects that I find all around me and re-present them, re-create and re-imagine them – draw and analyse them. Through drawing I give objects new meanings and possibilities – creating scenarios and narrative. I observe; microcosms and the macro; investigating ideas through everyday, tangible and human actions and objects. Researching the poetics of art and science.
I make spaces inhabited by tiny and detailed drawings of found objects, fragile and delicate sculptures of the natural world from around and about - the interdependence of people and histories and nature. I am interested in mythologies/ fact and fiction/ natural and unnatural histories/ what the mosses know...
