I am interested in drawing as a form of contact and the relationship between gesture, mark and imprint - currently exploring touch and its ensuing traces and residues. I am also interested in how the thought process of creating work changes and develops over a period of time. Encounter of insallation work involves the audience making associations between individual pieces of work but also reflects an interest in the distinction between public viewing of the whole and a more intimate private engagement, a reflection of the circular nature of contact between artist, audience and work.
